Battle Buddy Terms of Service

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Battle Buddy Addon LLC, a Missouri limited liability company ("we", "us"). They cover:

• the Battle Buddy addon
• the Battle Buddy desktop app
• our AI assistant service
• our website, battlebuddy.info

Together, these are "Battle Buddy". By installing or using Battle Buddy, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Battle Buddy.

1. Battle Buddy and Blizzard

Battle Buddy is an independent tool for World of Warcraft: Forever. It isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft and related names are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.

We design Battle Buddy to follow Blizzard's rules for addons:

• the addon never automates gameplay
• the addon doesn't use the network
• nothing is sold or advertised inside the game

You're responsible for following Blizzard's terms when you play. We aren't responsible for action Blizzard takes against your game account.

2. Who can use Battle Buddy

• You may use the addon if you're allowed to play World of Warcraft.
• To create a Battle Buddy account, use the AI assistant or buy a subscription, you must be 18 or older. You also need to be able to form a binding contract where you live.

3. Your account

• Keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account. Don't share or resell accounts.
• Tell us right away if you think someone else is using your account.

4. Licenses we give you

• The addon is free. Its Lua code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0), and that license governs the code. The catalog data files bundled with the addon are not covered by the GPL. They're licensed under these terms, and you may use them only as part of Battle Buddy.
• The desktop app: we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use it on computers you own or control, for your own use.
• You may not:
  • sell, rent or redistribute the app
  • remove notices from it
  • reverse engineer it to get around quotas, access controls or the service's limits, except where the law allows this despite this restriction.
• Battle Buddy's software, design, content, compiled game catalog and name belong to us or our licensors. Blizzard's game content belongs to Blizzard.

5. The AI assistant

• Answers can be wrong. The assistant uses artificial intelligence and game data that can be incomplete or out of date. Check important information in game, especially before spending in-game gold or time.
• The assistant only covers World of Warcraft: Forever. It will decline other topics.
• Your plan sets how many questions you can ask. Free accounts get a limited number each week. Paid plans have higher limits, shown when you subscribe. Limits may change with reasonable notice, and we may apply fair-use limits to prevent abuse.
• We may pause the assistant for maintenance, safety, cost control or problems with our AI provider. Plans, tools and your local data keep working while it's paused.
• You're responsible for what you type into the assistant. Don't enter anyone else's personal information.
• Your use of the assistant must also follow our AI provider's usage policy.

6. Rules for using Battle Buddy

You agree not to:

• use Battle Buddy to break the law, or to break Blizzard's terms of use
• automate gameplay, or use Battle Buddy to cheat
• call our servers from anything other than the official app, scrape the service, or get around quotas, rate limits or security
• submit false, made-up or automated community contributions
• try to get the assistant to produce harmful, illegal or abusive content, or to go beyond its purpose
• interfere with the service or with other people's use of it

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

7. Community contributions

If you turn on contributions, the app uploads game facts your addon observed, such as vendor items, prices, trainer recipes and loot sources.

• You confirm the facts came from your own ordinary play.
• You give us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, combine, modify and publish those facts as part of the Battle Buddy catalog and in our other free addons, such as CraftPath, and to let others use the catalog.
• Contributions contain game facts only, not personal information. See the Privacy Policy.
• Contributing is optional, and you can stop at any time. The contributor bonus (extra weekly AI questions) is a courtesy that we may change or end.

8. Subscriptions and payment

• Paddle.com is our reseller and Merchant of Record. When you buy a subscription, you're buying from Paddle, and Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase, together with these terms. Paddle handles payment, billing, tax and invoices.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. For annual plans, we'll remind you by email before they renew.
• Canceling: you can cancel at any time on your account page, through the link in your Paddle receipt, or by emailing us. Canceling stops future renewals, and you keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Price changes: we'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Refunds (also on our Refund Policy page):
  • If you're in the EU, EEA or UK, you have the withdrawal rights described in Paddle's buyer terms.
  • In addition, if you're not happy, email us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked. This applies once per customer, to the first payment only.
  • Other refunds are at our discretion and are processed by Paddle.

9. Changes to Battle Buddy

We're constantly improving Battle Buddy, so features may change, be added or be removed. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you've paid for, we'll tell you, and you can cancel and receive a prorated refund for the unused part of your current period.

10. Ending your use

• You can stop using Battle Buddy and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, or if we have to stop providing the service. If we close your paid account and it isn't your fault, we'll refund the unused part of your current period.
• These sections survive after your use ends: 4 (ownership), 7 (the contribution license), 11, 12, 13 and 14.

11. Disclaimers

Battle Buddy is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We don't promise that Battle Buddy will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every game update.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows:

• We won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. That includes loss of in-game items, gold, progress or game account access.
• Our total liability for any claim relating to Battle Buddy is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the laws where you live.

13. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using Battle Buddy, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally.

• Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Missouri.
• Either of us may use small-claims court instead.
• If you're a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you may also bring claims in your local courts, and you keep the protection of your local consumer laws.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll post it here with a new effective date and tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Battle Buddy after that, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and stop using Battle Buddy.

16. Other terms

• These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and (for purchases) Paddle's buyer terms, are the entire agreement between us.
• If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a term, that doesn't mean we've given it up.
• You can't transfer these terms without our consent. We can transfer them as part of a sale, merger or reorganization of our business.
